He had a good 2 months in 6 years, nothing to write home about. He gutted the system and went all in and it almost worked. He had pros and cons in his trades, but he left the team with no minor league system and hardly any SP. The biggest thing is their farm system is ranked bottom 5 right now in all of MLB. I don't even think they have 1 top 50 prospect anymore. Could any other GM have done better? Most likely in my opinion, so I don't think it's a huge loss for Toronto. Apparently Shapiro was really pissed how AA gutted the farm and went all in and if it didn't work they'd have to increase payroll quite a bit to fill in the pieces. Which, they will most likely need to add 2 high priced starters this offseason and a BP arm.
