I remember it was a Sunday and after the game I went to see an Oshawa Generals game. Before the game the public address announcer noted the result of the ball game and called on rhe crowd to congratulate the first Canadian MLB team to make the playoffs. The whole arena gave them a standing ovation.

The Blue Monday game drew under 35,000 if I recall. True, it was rescheduled from the Sunday so people had to work on Monday but that was still pretty bad.
