OT: Movies/TV Shows

The A-Team ran for four seasons and disappeared until a forgettable Bradley Cooper movie which stunk.

You weren't ahead of anything. Dallas ran for 14 seasons, like 350 episodes, spun off Knots Landing which had 350 episodes of its own, then was rebooted again itself with the original cast decades later. Over 30 seasons of television. It was immensely popular because the entire planet loved it. I think the Who Shot JR episode is still the second most watched show of all time.

And seeing as to how you thought it sucked, you probably didn't even watch it, so I'm discussing this with someone who knows as much about the show as the Habs do about winning a game this year.
How many years was "Everybody Loves Raymond" the #1 show? Saying a show is good just because a lot of idiots who's taste is all in their mouths watched it is like saying a musical act was good because it won a Grammy, which is all about commerce, not art. If a band I liked ever won a Grammy and accepted the award I would toss every CD of theirs I owned into the trash immediately.

Dallas, Knots Landing, Dynasty, et al were just glossy, vapid prime time soap operas. Hagman carried Dallas pretty much by himself because he was a great actor. Otherwise that show was just another piece of 70's fromage.

Kelly Ripa and her hubby are trying the Primetime soap thing again. A All My Children prime time show is starting this year.

That line in was it 40 year old virgin? "Act Like David Caruso in Jade".

CSI Miami was too much for him. He never acted again

First, it was the 80s. Second, you can't base an opinion off of a silly comic relief-ish kind of scene. It was actually a pretty serious show, with comedy mostly in the form of one-liner burns lobbed here and there.

Anyway, I don't make money on getting anyone to believe the show was great. If you want to just buy into the jokes, go for it. But it still blows away just about every show that ever tackled the subject of a family business.

These are representative scenes of what made it such a great show.

If it's not for you, so be it. But this was high, high quality stuff that people like to dismiss now as soap opera trash. Couldn't be further from the truth.

Truth is all a show really needs is a kickass theme song.

watch

I remember nothing else about this show that isn't in the intro
