OT: Movies/TV Shows

I was surprised to hear Kimmel close his show the other night by saying he ran out of time for Matt Damon. I never really watch and certainly not watching the very end, so I assume he does it every night, and I was like, still??? And I thought Family Guy dragged out jokes.

I will fight you.

The last two episodes of S2 were pretty good, but everything before was disjointed and boring, kept falling asleep. I guess I’ll give S3 a shot.

The nameless faceless multiplying monster thing is pretty stupid overall though.

It's definitely slow rolling. Hasn't quite hit boring for me yet. The way I'm approaching the series is the same way I approach seeing a tribute band for one of my faves.

Yeah, that's similar to my view. I'm looking at it like an LOTR fan-fiction with a big budget.

Still don't really understand why they went this route though. Why not stick with the established LOTR lore & canon established in The Silmarillion for the broad strokes of the story, and then just fill in the details? Why do such a total rewrite of the story & the characters?

I didn't find E6 boring for a change, a lot of things actually happened. just pretty piss poor by lotr standards, which is a shame because this guy playing Adar is fantastic and owns every scene he's in.

Just all feels like bad fan fiction

Easily the best episode of HOD so far.

I just wish they spoke a little more audibly and maybe a bit slower at times so I wouldn’t have to rewind and try to re-listen.
