When was the last time?

I couldn't sit through Collateral Beauty and didn't try Seven Pounds. I think both were crushed by critics and known to be junk.

Pursuit is probably his best work, and a good movie.

It was amazing next to Collateral Beauty.
Will has always gone from action to Oscar bait schlock. Now it won't work.

Amsterdam is getting such horrific reviews. It will bomb so bad. I just don't get the fuss over David O'Russell films aside from 3 Kings.
I've never been so irritated at a film as I was with I Heart Huckabees

And actually going way back Flirting With Disaster was good. Ben Stiller's greatest performance.

Amsterdam gets released but Prey went straight to streaming. I think these 'All star" Oscar bait "Quirky" movies won't have big releases going forward. I really have no patience to rush out and pay to see that.
Not sure how he gets so many actors working with him with Clooney, Tomlin, Adams' incidents.
