George C. Scott acting his ass off. Love it. But I wonder if you mean the new TV series?Anyone enjoy The Changeling? I love me some horror from back in the day
I always wondered how that 1976 version would've turned out had not Col. Parker basically put up demands that prevented Elvis from starring in that (granted Kristofferson did a pretty good job in the role). I seem to also recall the movie studios wanted Elvis to be the co-lead in Midnight Cowboy as well as the 1961 West Side Story lead (but again, Col. Parker was the obstacle to that). On that note:
Best remakes:
"Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1978)
"Body Snatchers (1993) (yes, both are better than the original. Check-out Ferrera's remake)
"True Grit" (2010)
"The Thing: (1982)
"Sorcerer" (1977)
"The Fly" (1986)
"Cape Fear" (1991)
"Insomnia" (2002)
"3:10 to Yuma" (2007)
"Let Me In" (2010)
"The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" (2011)
"A Star is Born" (2018)
"Dune" (2021)
No, Scarface from 1983 is not a good remake.
Never been able to get through itAmazed that this didn't win. Still the best film of this new millennium.
No. Definitely George C Scott and the bouncing ball.George C. Scott acting his ass off. Love it. But I wonder if you mean the new TV series?
I think the banging bath tub noises were neck and neck for creepiness with that ball.Super scary red ball!
And is george c. Scott the most underrated actor ever?
No. Westerns aren't really my thing. I only saw the first one.@WeHaveMoreCupsThanYou can you vouch for any of the Magnificent 7 sequels?
And he was fine with Elvis doing all those horrible movies.I always wondered how that 1976 version would've turned out had not Col. Another great Scott horror film: Exorcist 3.Anyone enjoy The Changeling? I love me some horror from back in the day
Not as well known "Vietnam war movie" involving Ermey as "Full Metal Jacket" but still worth a watch (imho):As long as we are looking back fondly on some old white men.
R Lee Ermey was a treasure, Mississippi Burning was his and Gene Hackman's best work, and both could dominate me any time.
And he was fine with Elvis doing all those horrible movies.
Doing a midway rewatch of Road to Perdition.
It’s kind of a perfect film. Love it more each time.
And perfect casting. Top to bottom.
I have to get around to watching Lone Wolf & Cub series (movies and/or the manga) the graphic novel (Road to Perdition) was influenced by.Doing a midway rewatch of Road to Perdition.
