OT: Movies/TV Shows

Yeah, I've heard it went sideways so I didn't feel like investing time in it. Plus I know guys who are connected to that production and Sudeikis is apparently a sociopath who sabotaged the show a dozen times before they called it quits.
All I know is that it and its stars consistently won Emmy awards for its entire run. It was an unvarnished success and well worth one's time to watch.

It's crazy how disturbed/depressed so many comedians are.
I love a lot of comedians' work but I wouldn't want to hang out with any of them. What makes them great is also what makes them toxic in pretty much every other area of their lives. Being dysfunctional is almost a prerequisite for being a great comedian nowadays. Look at the recently departed Richard Lewis. Funny guy but his personal life was often an absolute dumpster fire and it's a miracle he even lived past 70.

I just saw a random video of Louis CK doing a bit where he was saying that as you get older, you quit some habits and drop a lot of garbage out of your life - except perverted sexual thoughts! And then went on to say he has them constantly, all day long, and in every routine conversation. What a great thing to have out there forever after his scandal.

I still think he's the funniest, but as much as he tries to hide it, since he got outed and humiliated, he seems dead inside while performing now.

I remember reading this and thinking:

1. goddammit these baby cartoon shit lines actually work on super hot celebtrities wtf goddammit killmenow, and
2. hooboy Sudeikis is some kind of cheezy pickup bro creep eh?

......On Tuesday’s Howard Stern Show, Olivia Wilde recounted her first meeting with her now-fiancé Jason Sudeikis. Turns out, celebrities are just like us: They say weird things when they try to talk to attractive strangers. Wilde recalled:

People who spend a great deal of their time dissecting posts on ForumIce are just as fucked up as comedians… at least that’s what I heard

The odd thing I noticed is that when the scandal broke, one of the first people to come to his defense were other comedians, notably Sarah Silverman, who excused Louis' behavior with something along the lines of "That's just Louis being Louis" or some shit.

If that's going to be the standard by which we measure a sex pest, then we may as well say "That's just Weinstein Weinsteining" or "That's just how Bill Cosby rolls".
