OT: Movies/TV Shows

Oz killed Vic because he said that Oz was like family to him, which obviously the Penguin has a problem with (family). If Vic was like "yo, it is good to be your #2 and I can't wait for us to be billionaires", he is probably still alive

So I'm watching on Prime, a Canadian true crime show called In Cold Water, that just came out, and it's hilarious how Canadian productions try so hard to look cheap and amateur. Even true crime shows, which don't cost a lot look really cheap if done by a Canadian production. Even the crime is low-rent LOL. It looks like it was filmed with a Kyocera Visual Phone VP-210. (First phone with video camera capabilities to make the joke funnier).

Not that I'm so in love with Yellowstone anymore with the past couple of seasons, but TMZ spoiled the shit out of the season opener in its headline on my feed today, in some unconnected story about Costner and some girl he's banging. Fucking idiots.

Thank you for the info. I will avoid TMZ like the plague

The penguin finale was amazing. Man, what a show
My feelings on The Penguin: it was an OK show.

A solid B (maybe B+ if I am in a charitable mood). Was totally watchable, didn't make me question why I was watching it, and I didn't want to question any plot. Solid.

It did what it was suppose to do - give an "origin story" for one of it's Villains in the Batman world. I do like the option of an "origin" series instead of a movie. Gives the character more shading.

I read somewhere, that some Gen Z are calling it their gen's "The Sopranos", which is....... a big no from me.

No offence to anyone here or anyone in any universe that LOVES The Penguin, but this is what a stupid person thinks of as an A+ show.

The problem is, The Batman was such a boring and useless film, and the Penguin just added to it, so it's tough to get motivated to now watch a whole non-Batman series centered on the b level villain of the film.

The character arc and development for 8 episodes is pretty incredible.

Haven't seen the sopranos so I can't compare.

Anyone I've talked to about The Batman loved it. Thank you for letting me know I'm not insane on that opinion.

Apparently the world's worst detective, blank stares that had to have taken up half the film's length, and incredibly boring plot are interesting to people. Even had people mentioning the cinematography that won them over. Weirdos.

Pattinson is a subpar Bruce. The story was garbage. And I'll never forget Batman dangling helplessly from the rafters and 4 foot tall Zoe Kravitz using all her muscle to pull him up to safety. Comically bad. They tried to recreate Seven in the Batman world, and it was a big time fail for me.

Yeah, possibly... but also I think it's because his enemies were able to use him mom against him and that was a weakness. He didn't want Vic to be a weakness for him.
