Im on the last season now, and it's gone from Gary Oldman being excellent to that plus the supporting characters growin into their own and being a very good lite drama with mild comedy in there.

We finished it earlier, this fall. Also really enjoyed shrinking.
Land Man also has some decent chops.

i wouldn't oof that at all tbh. looks like it might be a potentially refreshing take.

otoh, if they try too hard to be the anti-dour-dcu it might go too far to the bright and shiny and optimistic cartoony side so we'll see.

and she's not conventionally superhot but man brosnahan has something.

Refreshing is the ideal word…..I normally couldn’t give two fucks about Superman, but given how cookie cutter all Marvel is, and how dour DC has been under Snyder, as you say…..an uplifting Superman flick that leans into the schmaltz a bit, could be a fun time.

Looking forward to this more than any MCU announced project right now, for sure.

Also it’s based on All-Star Superman I believe from Grant Morrison, which is probably the best Superman story ever, imo.

I saw there was a recently released Ralph Fiennes movie called “The Return” I believe, based on the Odyssey as well.

Looked dope as hell from the clip I saw…..

Juliette Binoche as Penelope looks like fantastic casting as well……and no matter how good a movie Nolan makes, he’s not going to outdo Fiennes as Odysseus.

I have a lot of faith in Nolan as a director…but casting Holland and Zendaya seems like a peculiar choice.

I mean, I didn't laugh at the time, but did hate his Ledger as Joker choice and was fully won over and thensome.

So, I can never say never after that, but this seems super weird, smartest guy in the room stuff, that probably doesn't pan out every time.
