OT: NFL thread

The dumbest thing was not showing up until the game was half over. Of course, with the travel and time difference it's understandable. The game started at 10am Pacific time.
No excuses for not showing up in the first half. But when down by 5 scores with the opportunity to bring it to 4 scores, you need to take it.

I also wish my favourite teams played in divisions as weak as the NFC East so they could rack up easy wins against teams that ride the short bus to school every week.

I only bring them up to invalidate all of your arguments. You can't throw stones at a team that's been to the last two SB's like Seattle or at an MVP quarterback like Aaron Rodgers when you root for a team as putrid as the Dallas Cowboys. The richest team in pro sports playing in a division so weak and pathetic that even the CFL laughs at it and they can only win 4 games (maybe 8 if their mediocre QB is healthy) You root for a team like that and your smack talking license is suspended indefinitely.

At any rate, once again we are arguing over nothing. The Patriots are going to win again this year whether we like it or not. May as well get used to the idea.

The Pats are vulnerable with such a non existent running game as they have. Let's see how they fare against better than KC competition.

They were 12-4 last year and you still called them crap.

I'm not the one who touted two teams this weekend who fell flat on their faces.

The Packers went to overtime on the road in a game they were not favoured to win or (according to some pundits) even supposed be close to winning. That hardly qualifies as falling flat on one's face. Missing a 27 yard field goal that would seal victory is falling flat on your face. Going 4-12 in a weak division is falling flat on your face.

All road teams that were supposed to get blown out. Panthers will win next week because one of them or the Cards have to and the Cards are only there due to luck. The Patriots will dismantle the Broncos, who only won today because the Steelers handed it to them with that fumble.

I'd like to see Manning make the SB...and win another one to silence the critics.

If not, I'd like Cam Newton or Carson Palmer to win
