OT: NFL thread

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

This is what happens when old rich guys marry trophy wives 20 years younger than them. Rich old guy dies and his wife inherits the team. Didn't any of these guys watch "Major League"?

And what does a slave trader look like?

Don't say an NFL owner.

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

BTW, the GOP should poach the NFL ranks for leaders. I think Phil Simms or Wade Phillips would be far more reasonable options than the current field.

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

Did you guys see Cam Newton's post-game press conference? What a child. Short answers, terrible body language and he walks off. Terrible look.

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

The last 5 minutes of the game are exactly why I'm not a big fan of him: When he isn't able to run it up and when things aren't going his way, he's a petulant child. He's behaving like a chickenshit loser.

Works for Brady

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

Wehave is the only guy who tries to rip the QB with most ever all time wins.
We aren't talking about the regular season. We're talking about how well Manning performs on the biggest stage. He's a pretty mediocre quarterback in big games as evidenced by his 14-13 record and his touchdown to interception ratio. He may be 2-2 in Super Bowls but he's not played particularly well in any of them.

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

Newton gave his haters a ton of ammunition yesterday. Now, in addition to those people who hate him merely for being "uppity", they actually have substantive things to criticize him for, not the least of which being that he quit on his teammates in the biggest game of his life.

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

Funny how for someone who isnt clutch manning is 3-2 vs brady in playoff games including one which he led a huge comeback
