OT: NFL thread

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

2 of his 9 completions went for touchdowns. Scoring is what it's all about.

so then it doesn't matter the numbers so why were you ripping on Manning for his SB win, he clearly did enough to score more than the opponent that game.

you know as well as I do if Manning won with a 9-14 96 yard game, you would rip him a new one

You are only defending that number now because you have lauded Bradshaw for years

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

I would put Manning's post season career on par with, say, Staubach, who won a couple and lost a couple. Regular season Manning is probably top 3 in history.

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

Manning was MVP of a SB....Favre never won MVP of a SB.

Manning went to 4 SB....Favre went to 2.

For those who say Eli is more clutch than Peyton, well Eli only took his team to 2 SB...his brother to 4 SB

Which means Favre and Eli were not clutch enough in the playoffs to make it to 4 SB like Peyton

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

Also, I'm not sure the Broncos win without Manning at QB....the coach and players said that when the decision was made to put Manning back in during week 16 (or 17), it had a calming effect on the whole team. By then, Manning knew how to run the offense to limit turnovers and allow the defense to shine.

He only had one INT since becoming the starter again....

Re: OT: NFL thread (Superbowl 50)

It's a semantic argument anyway. Montana is #1 and Brady is #2. Everyone else is bickering over third place.
