OT: NFL thread

So, when's the most overrated and overpraised head coach in North American Pro Sports history Jeff Fischer getting his extension after that pathetic display last night?

I almost hope the Cowboys tank this year just so they can have a reason to fire him.

(And so that I can laugh when they use another lottery pick for a player they don't really need)

hehehe, Zeke was not the best on Sunday but I have faith in him long term.

Dak was decent for his first pro game.

It's not that I think Zeke sucks or anything, but running backs are the easiest position to find and fill. We need a pass rusher or a corner waaaaay more than we needed another RB.

That may be true but some did say he was the best in the entire draft. I probably would have gone Ramsey but hard to pass up Zeke

Unless the RB is a generational freak difference maker you never take them top 10, you find guys like Bell, Lacey , etc in rounds 2-4 , but this kid could be the best in the league in a few years.

It's more than that, we can train/coach player to visualize plays him their head before making them so that it becomes instinctive.

Apologies for bringing it up, but that's exactly what happened with the Butler INT in the SB. They worked through the scenario in practice and exectuted to a T. You can can see Browner and Butler sorting out the assignments before the snap.

You'll never see a Patriot player make a stupid mental mistake like this. Or very very rarely.

And when they do, they are often playing for another team soon after.

Darth Belichick proves that you can coach guys up to success. Seriously he turned a WR into a DB and wins with white guys at WR (when your top WRs are Amendola and Edelman, you should not win a thing in the passing game). He won with Cassell and now did again with Garropolo. Yes he got the original break with the tuck rule and was an abject failure in Cleveland but what he does with really less athletic guys is quite amazing. He might go down as the best HC of all time.

I don't think it's "might" anymore, I think he is the best despite his tendency to bend the rules from time to time.

Plus, he's not just a coach, he also has final say on the roster, including which FAs to sign and which UFAs to let go.

What happens with Brady will be interesting. Brady wants to play forever while BB is known to cut a player loose before his game deteriorates.

Patriots system is made so that Brady can throw until he's 50....small quick passes...you don't need star WR...move the ball up the field....simple, yet efficient. But you also need Brady's surgical accuracy in those small passes (which are easy to pick-off if you don't have Brady's accuracy).

He just wants that 5th ring....understandably....

How about dem Bills?

They're making the friggin' Jets look legitimate. How bad do you have to be to accomplish that near-impossible feat?

I ****ing hate Rex Ryan. Never any accountability. Always leads the league in penalties. Such a shit coach.

I hate Rex too. That's why I'm happy his Jets are becoming the team that he wasn't able to field.
