OT: NFL thread

Re: Habs 2011-2012 News & Notes

I was trying not to be homophobic but I don't disagree (just like all those NFL guys in pink).

So by how much will the Eagles beat the Cowboys this Sunday night?

Not much. Two mediocre teams. You can pencil GB in right now as the NFC rep. in the SB if Rodgers stays healthy.

Romo should wear pink because he has become a pussy when it comes to throwing... or is that Garrett who refuses to allow him to throw these days?

Re: Habs 2011-2012 News & Notes

Apparently there were cat-calls from Dallas fans that Garrett was having no faith in Romo's arm when the game was close. I agree the "W" is more important at this point and the Rams run defense is 32nd in the league but with the WR's Dallas has I am not sure why you don't gain some confidence up against a poor defensive team before you hit the tougher teams?

Romo only threw for like 163 yards or something and he was missing a lot of connections with Austin in the 2nd half... not sure if that was Romo or Austin's fault?

Re: Habs 2011-2012 News & Notes

Our schedule coming up is actually not that difficult. We have already played our two toughest road games of the season.

The only game of the six I thought we would win but didn't was the Detroit game.

Maybe you missed the fact that DeMarcus Murray ran for 253 yards that game, crushing the Cowboys' franchise record previously set by Emmitt Smith and being the 9th best rushing performance in history? When you have a guy having a performance like this, you give him the ball. This has nothing to do with Romo.

Re: Habs 2011-2012 News & Notes

As I mentioned the Rams have the 32nd best run defense in the league and Murray did pick up 91 of those yards in 1 play. The point is that the Cowboys will go nowhere unless Romo has confidence in his arm to throw down field. Possible he is still healing from the broken ribs but he was 14-24 for 166 yards.

He'll have to throw it against the Eagles.

True but you go with what works in a game. If the other team run defense is horrible and your R is shredding them, you run the ball. Simple as that.

Eagles rush defense is 23rd in the league compared to 10th for their passing defense. Except the Cowboys to run the ball again next week.

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

The Count-Krusty Bowl was a little anti-climactic.

Eagles looked like the dream team. The Cowboys stunk.

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

This means both teams cannot make the playoffs....it's either Cowboys or Eagles, but I can't see both teams making it together this year....and I honestly think both will not make it anyways...

Giants won again, and it's pretty certain that 49ers-Saints-Packers will finish at the top of their respective divisions...

So that leaves 2 Wild card spots up for grabs, and teams like Falcons, Lions, Bears, Tampa will be fighting hard for it...and they all have a head start on Cowboys-Eagles

I think 49ers-Saints-Packers are locks....and Lions-Giants will probably make it barring collapses....I think it'll come down to Bears-Falcons for the last playoff spot....

But as they say: ''THERE'S STILL A LOT OF FOOTBALL TO BE PLAYED'' so all this might change....gotta love this game :)

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

Eagles can only make the playoffs if they win this lame-ass division, which they could. The Giants are not very good.

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

Giants are not very good, and have a hard schedule ahead....but I still see them finishing ahead of Eagles...Giants got a lot of bodies back from injuries this week...they are better than what they showed against Miami

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

After tonight there is no question the Eagles are the best in the east... and the Cowboys will hover around .500 all season. Total dominance tonight and the Cowboys might as well trade Miles Austin & Dez Bryant if they are not going to throw to them. Probably would be better to trade Romo but doubt that is easy with his contract.

I don't trust the Giants to win the division but again, after seeing the Eagles tonight I think they can challenge anyone if they play that way.

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

Has Count joined Xpo in the witness protection program? Just wondering. He likes to pound his chest when the 'Boys win.

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

I dont follow the NFL that closely but I still dont get the Colts....
and the Fins keep finding ways to lose!

Re: OT: NFL thread 2011

But the Habs were never as good as the Colts and without Budaj would not be as bad.
Or have the Colts not been one of the top teams the last few years.

Anyway...heard on the radio that it would make sense for them to trade Luck for other help.
