OT: Politics & News... Have at it.

If it came down to Clinton vs the acclaimed neurosurgeon the Canadian or Trump, guilty as charged.

Assuming I could vote, right?

Hillary is a bad choice. It'll be scandals all over as her past is filled with them. Her trustworthiness figures are terrible for good reason, only Dems (and not all) can forgive the unforgivable....ideologues to the core. Aside from that, I couldn't vote for business as usual. The Dems have zero fiscal vision.

Of the 3 Pubs you offered as a choice. I have problems with all them. Carson is flakey, Trump is a showboat, and Cruz is that weird uncle type. All that said, Cruz would likely be the most fiscally responsible and would adhere closest to the constitution. I kinda like Fiorina actually, however my mind is not made up.

The most hardcore politicos I know don't follow sports all that closely, hence the need for a jersey to call their own.

Meanwhile, I have voted for all the major parties at some point or another. Context is everything. Idealogues can kiss my ass. Most of their cherished assumptions don't hold up indefinitely, yet they never change their mind.

Same here. My vote is never in stone based on the color of the party. I'm voting on who ever might be the best candidate/party to lead us at the time of the vote. Most parties now a days, have central views and aren't that far appart that you get a defacto vote because the other party is so far, ideology speaking, from the other parties.

So if lies and/or embellishments are abhorred by leftards, umm....how is it that Hillary remains in such high esteem among your Party faithful?

Actually Hillary's support has been dropping like flies amongst Democrats voters for that very same reason.

As crazy as it sounds, I would probably support Trump over Carson and Cruz.

And I'm not sure I would be able to vote for Hillary either. She's a two-faced puppet.

Rubio will defeat Hillary if he's the GOP nominee. When he ran for the Senate in Florida, he got over 50% of the vote in a 3 person race, which is almost unheard of. He's popular with Indies. and Dems., so he should eb able to win Ohio and Florida, which screws Hillary.

Rubio is too nerdy to be US Pres.

I'd be open to consider Rubio.

The problem with solving the macro issue or not having the French feel like second class citizens and being told to speak white in Eaton's is that ultimately it leads to micro managing crap like this which of course makes Quebecois look petty and stupid.

I guarantee most of our Quebecois brethren would find little issue with English in a Gaspe hospital even though the population there is less than equal French and English. However, some old bureaucrat who was told to speak white 40 years ago and then went to Cegep Andre Laurendeau where he learned how he was crapped on, decided to be a little Hitler and demand the change.

her numbers have strengthened against her main Dem rival to this point, Bernie Sanders. She's still a strong number one for the Dem nomination. Where she is more noticeably weaker, is on the national front, because of poor non party affiliation support. But make no mistake, it's still a horse race between her and any GOP contender.....despite her, ahem, checkered past.

Republicans only real chance is to nominate the nerdy guy. He looks too young but his fresh look might be like Trudeau vs the old guys he faced. Harper looks way older than his age as does Mulcair. The nerd looks much younger than Clinton who looks old and tired.

I wonder though if despite being a Cuban, he can win the Mexican vote as he is anti immigration, anti-opening up to Cuba etc.

His talk about the border and making things really good again have resonated with voters, but damn he's such a showboat that falls short on detail.
