Re: OT - The News Thread

Never seen this before:

This makes an interesting appendum to the debate about the "staged" police car. Start from 0:40

Re: OT - The News Thread

LOL @ all the suburban middle-class losers dressed in black trying to look tough. They probably read one page of a Chomsky book or took "developmental studies" and decided to cause mayhem. Idiots.

Re: OT - The News Thread

in that video the only violence i see is being perpetrated by the human garbage who masked themselves up in black.

i see a pile of $hit at the feet of a line of police that must have clearly been thrown at them by that same human garbage

i see very calm police officers quietly holding their ground and not brutalizing anyone.

and as for the "staged cop car incident", i see a few non-riot police who obviously got themselves into the wrong place at the wrong time, who saw themselves outnumbered, and wisely decided to get to hell out of there before the crowd could overpower them.

Re: OT - The News Thread

Wow.

They were whaling on a police car with a police officer in it. They left the car there because it was already vandalized and clearly needed to get the officers out of the area.

In my opinion, anyone attacking a police car with an officer in it is fair game for lethal force.

Again, what a purposeless bunch of low-lifes.

Re: OT - The News Thread

what's even more disgusting to hear is that many of these out-of-town dirtbags were housed at the university of toronto campus by student groups, where 70 of them were arrested with bats, bags of $hit and urine, gas masks, and other weapons.

"activist" students, receiving a university education heavily subsidized by canadian taxpayers and using university resources and lodgings, were actively assisting these a$$holes in their campaign of violence in toronto.

ALL funding for OPIRG on any university campus needs to be immediately halted.

Re: OT - The News Thread

I'm actually going to call Crime Stoppers today on three people on my Facebook list that brazenly bragged about being involved with the Black Bloc. ****ing morons. Screenshots are a bitch.

Re: OT - The News Thread

good for you jcy. a$$holes like that need to be found. and good citizens like yourself need to help the authorities do that.

Re: OT - The News Thread

If they get arrested it would also be a good addition to failbook.com

Good on you for that, Jays.

Re: OT - The News Thread

I had mentioned that exact thing to my wife...I said it will be great if the power of the net has everybody who recognises one of these people rat them out. A lot of these idiots were barely disguised, and with youtube and the like it should be easy for people to notice someone on tape\news footage/youtube and call them in.

Re: OT - The News Thread

How does Joe Warmington work as a writer?

http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/G20/2010/06/27/14536116.html

“I never even got to protest,” she said in an interview seconds after being released. “I was arrested on the Go Train Saturday about noon because I had a gas mask and a bandana which I told them were for my own protection.”

Well, University of Guelph seems to be cranking out geniuses. My god, take a bandanna and a gas mask to a protest and you deserve a stay in jail.

Re: OT - The News Thread

you may "deserve" to, but unless they have some evidence that you plan to do something with it, should they really have the power to arrest her for that?

Re: OT - The News Thread

Under these circumstances, I tend to lean towards shoot first....not very civil liberty of me.

In all seriousness, it's a tough call, and we are only hearing her "woe is me" side of things.
