I also don't have any respect for people who tweet incessantly while only permitting replies from people they follows or mention. That's a convenient way to avoid having to defend your statements and it qualifies you for snowflake status. That is a feature that I would get rid of if I owned Twitter. I would force all users to engage. No drive-by's.

Quite an easy position for an anonymous old dude to take.

With the non-stop torrent of vile abuse most public figures and women face on social media from bots and real people alike, I’d turn off replies from randoms too if I was in their situation.

If you can't handle the thrust and parry of having your views challenged then social media isn't for you, especially if you insist on coming in with hot takes like that woman tweeting thread after thread about men she's never met and how they're all terrible people. Either stay away from Twitter or become a moderator on a message board with dictatorial power. :cool:
