OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Scottie and Quickley won't be cheaper for much longer. Jake is only a bit cheaper now. Gary is only a bit cheaper and is actually really bad.
Scottie and Quickley will cost as much as him while being way better.

Poeltl is cheaper.

Gary's not on the floor.

Are you high? Scottie is probably going to be eligible for a 30% max extension.

Quickley, yeah fine but that will be because Quickley is underpaid because we're lucky the Knicks have had him on the bench, not because 25 million is too much for a 6th man.

If you think $25m for a 6th man is good value then I sure hope some other teams agree.

It's pretty scary that he's a 6th man behind Poeltl and Schroder tho.

Poeltl is a starting centre numbnuts.

Dennis is basically the same as RJ, fringey starter type. Dennis is pretty cheap for what he brings, remember that he fumbled a pretty big bag recently. Pretty damn close to a RJ sized bag.

Great win. Could def use a couple more quality bench bodies to really solidify the team.

Trent gotta go. A back up big would be nice.

I was on the trade Siakam train. Now I’m not as sure. But fuck he’s turning 30 soon.

Fwiw, our cap situation is fine for this year and next.

This summer we'll have to extend Pascal and Quickley. RJ is at 25.7 million next year, Scottie goes into his last cheap year (10.1). Shuffle around the edges of the lineup and develop the young guys with Pascal as the #1A option. At the end of next year we'll have to make a decision on RJ because Scottie is getting paid. Has RJ sanded down the rough edges enough to be worth going into the luxury to keep him? If not, now there's only 2 years left on his deal and you package him up for someone that fits what we need to push deeper into the playoffs.

25 yr old RJ with 2 years left on his deal is likely to be a lot more valuable than 23 yr old RJ. Just be patient and ride this out.
