OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Could see it turn into a 3 way scenario though where Pascal ends up in Dallas and Atlanta gets the draft equity or whatever the fuck else Dallas is giving up in the deal, with Dejounte coming here.

Exactly , I can only see a 3 team trade if its done by this deadline

Raps need to get a big somehow in this deal

FFS can you give the family a few minutes of respect

Krause died 7 years ago and his legacy is kind of trash in Chicago. The organization is pretty tone deaf on this one and largely to blame imo. They should have quietly put his name up in the off season, and if they wanted to, do a private ceremony for his family with any alumni willing to come.

Question- why don’t we just extend Siakam?

The argument against it is basically that he's really good but just really good (roughly a top 30-40 player in the league) but would be getting paid top 10-12 money from 30-33 yrs old.

Imo, it's not a terrible idea but it's not a particularly good idea either. It might be our best option if the trade market for him is rough though.

His market has a lot of suitors, but I'm not convinced that there are a lot of teams who want to be the one to give up the good pieces for him.

Yeah, if we were taking a couple 1sts and junk salary match, 10-15 teams around the league would be all over him. But no one so far seems to want to give up their actually valuable pieces.

Masai says he's "looking forward to all the capspace we'll have" next year.

What's the best free agent the raps have ever signed?

Schroder?
