Women's sport in general needs to start looking at their game as a product, and not in direct competition with the male version of their sport. If they lowered the rims to 9'6 or something, the first time one of their bigs drop stepped and dunked on someone like a Lady Shaq, it would be on ESPN for a year straight. The first time a wing takes the lane and dunks on a big, it would be similarly celebrated.
Same thing, the PWHL should be looking at smaller ice. Especially if it gets popular enough that they're taking over their own buildings and they can purpose build for their game. Women aren't going to close the physicality gap with men. The men will remain bigger, faster, stronger forever. But the women can adjust their game around the edges to make it the most exciting version their game can be,
