BTW, Simeon Woods-Richardson is a good prospect, but he's failing the AA test right now. 5.76 ERA and 5.2BB/9 so far this year. Again, I like him as a prospect and he is young for the level, but he is not going to help the team anytime soon.

He's not failing anything. He's 2yrs young for the level and all the underlying numbers are good.

He's a very good prospect, but we should never have traded stroman.

He's failing in that he should still be in A-ball. He has a good K rate but otherwise cannot yet handle AA batters.

Let's see how he does when he is age appropriate for the level. But your fantasies of SWR fronting the Jays rotation in 2022 should be over.

Why should he be in A ball when he destroyed it as a teenager?

Especially when he absolutely dominated AA to start this year again (7gs, 39.7k%, 9.1b%, 2.70era, 1.97fip), before this little 4gm skid after returning from Olympics qualifiers.

"Destroyed as a teenager" is relative. He had a nice 28 inning stretch in Toronto after the trade. He was pretty mediocre in A-ball before that.

I see that you don't like it, but his numbers are very poor this year. Don't fret! There is time to turn it around! You can still like the prospect but be realistic about his performance.

Ya there's nothing mediocre about any of this:

18 (A): 2.53fip, 2.24xfip
19 (A+): 2.46fip, 2.93xfip
20 (AA): 3.80fip, 4.10xfip

All fantastic numbers for a guy 2yrs young for each level, which is why he's ranked as a top-60 prospect by everyone at the tender age of 20.

But jumping on a 4gm skid like this is pretty adorbs.
 
I don’t really like any pitcher whose 4-5 years away from being a contributing mlber.

Nate Pearson was as lights out as you could be in the minors and is now a 25 year old who has been fucking terrible or injured at the mlb level.

And Manoah had never been above A ball before this year and now is a solid MLB pitcher? Not sure the point?
