OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Surprised they have the Yankees so low.

But at this point, it definitely seems like those top 4 are the consensus options, and then a bunch of teams fighting for the last spot. Still a slim chance that Bos or TB or someone falls out of it if they really slump in the second half. But it's also so close that it feels like it shifts the odds by like 20% over the course of the weekend depending on how you did.

The annoying thing is the jays are clearly the best team in the division, but somehow let TB and BOS get this big lead on them.

7gms against BOS in the next 11 days. 10 in the next 21.

Nows the time.

Yeah, if you can go wild and take like 8/10 from them, then all of a sudden you're basically tied.

For sure lots to sort out over the next three weeks.

They could be in the race, way out of it, or about the same but with only about 50 games left to make up ground.

If management is planning to add reinforcements, the time is now. The Jays play the Red Sox 7 times between now and the deadline.

I am still very intrigued by Hatch, he's been good in the minors. Hopefully Manoah is okay, but I wouldn't mind getting a look at Hatch.

I think Hatch is probably going to end up as a Casey Janssen type, a guy who had OK stuff that played way up in the bullpen. But it's definitely worth giving him a few starts down the stretch. At the very least he should already be on the MLB team in the bullpen.

The story of the year. Pitching not there in big games or leads. Game over and big opportunity lost. Now have to win the next two just to gain 1 game.
