Question for you baseball experts

How much would it take to sign Ray right now and avoid free agency ?

Would you sign him or only offer the QO ?

This is basically his last chance to get paid and ride off into the sunset. He'll milk a deal for someone for that or like 5/100. I mean, maybe if you offer him now, you could sneak him out at like 4/60 or 4/65 to give him leeway to suck down the stretch. But you're not getting him for less than that really. And even that is tough to handle with his history and the chance that he goes back to being a marginal guy.
 
I don't understand what happened there? No replay and the beginning is choppy. The guy bunted and the pitcher kicked it away and so the Pirates kept running and scored. What was the controversy?
 
Stupid play to argue. Just ask for a video review. If it was foul when Walker tossed it out of the way (why would you do that anyway?) the runners go back.

The controversy is that the pitcher thought it was a foul ball, but it was ruled fair and everybody scored. Apparently it's not reviewable.

Yeah, MLB has a bunch of things that are inconsistent. Like you can review whether a guy is HBP, but you can't review a foul tip, even if the foul tip is technically why a guy may or may not have gotten HBP.

It's an embarrassing roster Texas is fielding but it's still great to see them pound them like this.
