Yes and you can enjoy it until next fall when the Jays shit the bed and don't win a championship again. If Rogers managed not to make money on NHL hockey, how are they going to make a profit off of overpaying Ohtani?

they haven't dumped the NHL yet, technically. it's just expected they'll abandon it when the rights expire.

Not surprised that he’s taking a while to choose and meeting with 50 people to discuss it. I’ve done some biz in Japan and Culturally that’s a very Japanese approach.
 
let's be honest tho, when we all do that thing where we pretend we're not getting our hopes up so we can avoid disappointment, we're usually just lying to ourselves and we still end up disappointed.

Its a minor thing, so very minor, but one thing i really want that comes with Ohtani signing here would be the backtracking of all these US Analysts that have about as much knowledge of Canada that i have of Finland.

The statement will start with. " hey, i love toronto, its a great blah blah blah, "
