likely. but...guy has same babip as last year (.256) and his O-Swing% is 24.5 vs 32.4 from last year. HR/FB is crazy high though so yeah probably isn't this.
 
Is anyone really arguing that Varsho is anything in the neighborhood of a 156 wrc+ hitter?

He’s having a good stretch and it increases the chances that he can end the year with a league average batting line (which would be an improvement on career numbers and a huge leap forward over last year.)
 
wouldn't be shocked if he put up a season as much better than his expectations as last year was worse.

I understand this sentiment but I at minimum would like to see what he looks like away from this group of hitting coaches

It’s maddening that a year out from his free agency it’s basically impossible to work out an extension with him due to his regression and the same fucking coaches are still here. All the underlying numbers still love Vlad but something is off and no one new has been brought in to figure out how or why. Just Don fucking Mattingly

I dont think he gives a fuck

Comes from money and regardless where he ends up he is getting paid , maybe not top end money but he wont be going to food banks

Fat fuck probably wants 300+ mil plus and isnt worth that investment with his decision making and regression

So he comes from money but wants 300M ? And is unaware that 1B that post a league average WRC are closer to being DFA candidates than mega paid? I don’t doubt some or a lot of this is on Vlad himself but there are too many other things that suggest to me this is a system and organization failure

I dont think the staff tells Vlad to drop balls or choke in the playoffs

I dont think he has the drive or motor , at some point its on him to deliver the hype full time

OPS for a 1B is terrible
