OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Lineup needs moar sticks though. Hitting is contagious. Can heap blame on Vlad & Bichette and you wouldn't be wrong to, but when pitchers know that they can just straight up pitch around those 2, because the lead off guy has a .322 OBP so isn't on base very much and the 4-5 hole hitters are Turner (a competent, but hardly terrifying stick) and Varsho (nice power surge lately, but I'll take my chances against a guy with a career 98 wRC+), the problem runs deeper than 2 of your 3 good sticks not producing. Basically, a good lineup needs to be able to survive slumps from it's top 1-2 producers. This one can't. Hitting slumps are, and always have been part of baseball.

- it's actually kinda funny how good the bottom 2/3 of the lineup has been given how bad the top 1/3 has been.

- of course, we'd have got more benefit from the bottom 2/3 if Schneider and Clement had been given equal chance at playing time from the start. and the jansen injury didn't help.

- hopefully now that Falefa's early hot streak is probably over, Clement starts to get even more opportunity.

we actually have a lead in the 3rd inning after going down 2 in the first.

I'd like to think that's not a big deal but i'm pretty sure that's a rare feat for our jays.
