jays have played a great game for the 2-1 lead in the 7th, but the manager (who's been good today) left Cabrera in too long and that might have screwed us unless Yimi can be a real hero.

0 outs 2 RISP and he comes in and gets their 1-2-3 hitters in order with a K and two weak contacts. fantastic.
 
I can't believe he brought in the struggling Mayza there with Yimi still only at 17 pitches but it worked.
 
The Orioles and Jays are an interesting study in contrasts over the last few years.

Met in the wildcard game in 2016. Both teams basically ran it back in 2017 and ended up a few games below .500. Then the Jays tried to stay mediocre while the Orioles got really, really bad. Now Baltimore is of the best teams in baseball with a payroll of $140 million LESS than what the Jays spend to be… this.
