I think they are "safe"

It's not red, and im not bludgeoned with the Canadian Flag.

Like i dont want to buy it, but im not embarrassed by them, not even close really.

If you were to stack them against every City Connect released they probably rank somewhere in the middle, or just above average. I need to see what the lettering/numbering looks like, it's a big component.

Re Shapiro.

Im guessing Eddie and the board don't actually care about optics or results so much, but will be taking a hard look at Shapiro once the reno's are finished and the attendance tanks, but Mark probably gets another GM hire and round of garbage patchwork before that happens and more importantly decisions on Bo/Vlad.
 
And honestly, firing just Schneider will do absolutely nothing other than satisfy fan blood lust ( which, im cool with). Mattingly and his impelmentation of his archaic offense is more dangerous and he probably gets named interim, cause experience and the FO assumes that just canning the manager will satisfy the people here ( ive also always got the sense Shapiro thinks we are rubes who know nothing about baseball).

End of season will be the same thing, but Atkins will go, and a new minion will come in.

The truly scary thing will be if Rogers tells Mark no full rebuild and he has to thread the needle of being "competitive" and retooling at the same time, and just like when he arrived, he doesn't pick a lane

I honestly have no idea.

Ive always wondered if Mattingly was forced on him and Schneider is just a guy with a family clinging to the paycheck as long as possible.

We know the FO comes up with game plans ( like the one that led to Kikuchi being pulled) so it's entirely possible John has nothing to do with the problems of thise team, which is why i think firing him accomplishes nothing.

I get the same sense re Atkins in the FO. I think this is Shapiro's vision.
