OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Dominguez is pretty good, was likely to step in as Baltimore's closer since Bautista just went on the IL, if the trade deadline wasn't this week. I almost mentioned Watts-Brown the other day when talking about our pitching prospects, he's a pretty good one himself. But it's a fair price to pay for Seranthony.

Yeah, a 50-0 loss is still just one loss, but probably would signal something more than a 2-1 loss. I'm not saying the team is a sham or throw in the towel or anything. I'm just annoyed that after such an amazing showing, they're falling hard like this in three successive games.

The Orioles arent a run of the mill last place team, over 500 since they fired Hyde, and they can mash. Bassitt was terrible, whcih can happen and we trotted out some non MLB pitchers in game one of a double header in a swamp. Im not too worried.

Watts Brown is interesting and a fair price in this market for this pitcher, but was probably behind Trey, King, Rojas, Ricky, Stephen, and Stanifer. We can afford to make this kind of move. Dominguez generates K's and will be a welcome addition. Being able to Ricardo RIncon his way over to our dugout now is a boon too, but they need more, and ideally one more better than him. Bednar or Helsley please, if not Duran or Jax.

There is a place for a Matz/Soroka as well

I can see a would where he's part of a Bednar/Helsley pacakge, and i think CHerington is still in charge of Pitt and he was in our FO for a bit, probably likes some guys
 
Dominguez is good but better just be the start of many trades, cant be the best or even second best add! Decent prospect but only one and won’t miss it, unload more!

He can be the second best pen add.

Assuming they dont want to part with 2 top 100 prospects for a Duran/Jax ( which is fair), you can go with Dominguez fro one tier, Bednar/Helsley from an upper tier, then a Matz/Soroka for a longman/emergency SP tier and really beef the pen

I think in an ideal world, agreeing to foot the entire cost of Matz's deal lowers the cost slightly on Helsley.

Then go out and get a RHH, and keep your ears open for actual SP upgrades
 
I think some team might blow their brains out on Bednar. I want him, but expect the cost to be very high.
 
Ah his splits say he crushes righties but no bueno vLHH. Obviously they know this and'll use him accordingly.
