It's not even the mass shootings I'd be concerned about, just the general level of gun violence coupled with how fucking angry so many people down there seem to be. If I can't have a random, harmless conversation with another human being while we're both stuck in line for something without having a pit in the bottom of my stomache worrying that they're going to make a cultural/political litmus statement, the fuck do I even want to be there for?

Half of the country appears to be made up of fucking lunatics that just aren't scared off by racism/fascism. What the fuck do I want to deal with that for?

I wouldn't want to go live in the US given all the craziness. I wouldn't worry about a visit - not like you're going to interact much with the locals anyways. Yeah, if you're in line for BBQ in KC, careful what topic of conversation. We booked in 2019 for 2020 as our honeymoon... our credit would have expired at the end of the year, so we had to use it.

I just got back from a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale couple weeks ago and spent a couple days in the area prior. I hit up Seminole hard rock. You can also check out the beach or a trip to Miami if you’re game. Just don’t bring home Covid like I did.
