OT: What are you Watching/Listening/Drinking?

Were polar vortexes a thing like 10 years ago?

I swear spring sucks every god damn year now.

Its terrible every year we are down to 2 1/2 seasons a year , no spring then 30 degrees

Fall used to be great years ago with nice mid teen highs in October- November , great Indian summer

Now your getting out the parka in November

Yeah, fall and spring seem to be getting phased out.

This past year it was particularly abrupt. Seemed to go from 30 degree summer weather to early-winter cold overnight.

Yeah, but she was into bread before it was cool. I can relate. I saw Arcade Fire play in front of 150 people at the Salvation Army in Montreal.

I never forgave them for continuing to release new material, winning awards, doing press junkets, agreeing to headline massive festivals. Why did things have to change for the better for them?

damn

Highly recommended and hilariously easy. I most often use some of the more complex recipes thinking they'll turn out better than this but it's rarely the case. Just had this today and every time I have it I'm reminded that I should just make this every time. The ROI is unbeatable. So easy, so quick and so God damn good.

Fun tip (not sure if he mentions it in the recipe): if the top of your pizza is finished and there isn't enough color on the bottom fucking pop your skillet on a burner for a minute or two and you'll get it beautiful. Be generous with the olive oil too... You're essentially almost frying the dough. If you're watching your figure don't make this. And hey, another application for cast iron!

Oh and when you see bread flour in American recipes, use all purpose. The all purpose flour in Canada has higher protein content than the US (or rather there are no restrictions/regulations on protein content in the US; many brands half a fuckton less protein than Canadian AP). 95% of recipes turn out just fine using AP as protein contents are similar to the bread flour in the US.

stop bragging that you have yeast

I ordered some in bulk from a bakery supply warehouse along with bread flour and all-purpose flour.

McCalls in Mississauga. Was very easy pickup.

If anyone is looking to up your spice game... silk road spice merchants (located in calgary but ship to the rest of the country) and the spice trader in Toronto (also ships) are good quality.

I find the taste different is fairly large between the grocery store stuff and the stuff these stores provide.

Spice Road is an awesome little spot. I used to go there when I lived in Calgary. Yeah, big difference between good spices and grocery store stuff.

New Canopy bevvy for sale at the OCS. Sold out almost immediately but I may want to get my hands on this so I'll keep checking the stock.

Bakerstreet & Ginger
Masterfully combining Bakerstreet Distilled Cannabis with ginger ale and other ingredients to create a refreshing cannabis experience.

130 calories so that means it might have some flavor unlike their other one. I'll probably wait for reviews before I bite the bullet.

If your looking for flavour why not just get the dissolvable powder? Toss it in some beaus
I would never taint my beaus like that. My dream life is having a fridge stocked with beaus and weed bevvies. I can pick and choose what to drink depending on my mood. But the weed bevvy needs some complexity, much like beer has. I want it to be enjoyable to drink. I want to get to the point where I drink it for taste 1st and getting high 2nd, much like beer. The new flavor doesn't excite me much either. We can get there though I think.
