OT: What are you Watching/Listening/Drinking?

Yeah, but she was into bread before it was cool. I can relate. I saw Arcade Fire play in front of 150 people at the Salvation Army in Montreal.

I never forgave them for continuing to release new material, winning awards, doing press junkets, agreeing to headline massive festivals. Why did things have to change for the better for them?
That's why I always wait for bands to be washed up before I listen to them.

You hear the new Trooper album?

I'm actually not sure what's more impressive.

  1. That something as dumb, entitled and tone-deaf as that piece vomited forth from her brain in the first place

  2. That, upon further reflection, she decided it was a good idea to publish it

  3. That even in the face of a universally negative response, she's aggressively defending her article in the comments section

I just saw that she's got another article. "Stop Using Toilet Paper."

"I've been wiping my bum since I was a young girl, so when I see people buying TP just to post pictures of it on MySpace It makes me so angry"

... And so it came to pass that Karen and her family were forced to make a terrible decision no mother ever wants to face, with only 3 viable choices available. (1) Launch a desperate search throughout the city for non-expired organic flour and yeast, (2) try eating something else, or (3) buy a loaf of Villagio for $2.99.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday at 4pm.

This bitch taking white privilege to new heights. I'm almost impressed. If you want to laugh read the comments on the article. 10/10 comedy.

I knew before I opened that her name was some variation of Karen.

It's always a Karen

Brb, posting pictures of my bread to the gram before I throw it out

I virtue signal with polenta

Seriously tho only way I really like polenta is get one of those fat tubes of it, slice it into "chips", and fry until crispy.

Deelish.

Highly recommended and hilariously easy. I most often use some of the more complex recipes thinking they'll turn out better than this but it's rarely the case. Just had this today and every time I have it I'm reminded that I should just make this every time. The ROI is unbeatable. So easy, so quick and so God damn good.

Fun tip (not sure if he mentions it in the recipe): if the top of your pizza is finished and there isn't enough color on the bottom fucking pop your skillet on a burner for a minute or two and you'll get it beautiful. Be generous with the olive oil too... You're essentially almost frying the dough. If you're watching your figure don't make this. And hey, another application for cast iron!

Oh and when you see bread flour in American recipes, use all purpose. The all purpose flour in Canada has higher protein content than the US (or rather there are no restrictions/regulations on protein content in the US; many brands half a fuckton less protein than Canadian AP). 95% of recipes turn out just fine using AP as protein contents are similar to the bread flour in the US.

Looks great but I'm afraid it'll just make me lust for thin crust even more than I'm jonesing for it now.

I much prefer thin crust too. And neopolitan more than anything. But any truly superior pizza to this in my experience requires a wood fired oven. And no, I'm not counting out getting one. I'm not much of a pizza guy in general but it's all I wanted to eat near the end of my Japan trip when in Tokyo and it's always all I want to eat in Italy.

Is it worth dropping a few grand on one? Of course not. Would it be within this forum's character for someone to fucking casually own one and act like it's no big deal? You better believe it.

Yup I've seen that. It's a very good product from what I've read. You'll never get the real deal quality but it's a nice alternative.

When trulieve becomes the Budweiser of weed I'll consider it.

Industrial chic, sell it to people with too much money for $15k. Be the banksy of bbq.

Picked up this microbrew I hadn’t seen before on my trip to the beer store. Looks good, will report back. Don’t know if you guys have heard of it. Here’s a picture of the case.
