When you say "Russian territory" are you talking about occupied territory that actually belongs to Ukraine or someplace on actual pre-war Russian soil? Because the quickest way for this shit to spiral out of control is for the Ukies to start lobbing bombs into Russia and killing Russian civilians.

What would you consider "out of control" exactly? They're already committing historic war crimes on Ukie citizens and civilian infrastructure. That's pretty out of control already.

Something unconfirmed but being claimed at the moment is that due to the roll out of improved AA (the Gepard's are really nice kit), Ukraine allegedly took out 60 or more of 70 missiles fired at Ukie cities yesterday.
There was a noticeable drop off in reports of damage to civilian areas across Ukie cities yesterday according to the osint groups, so either the Russians didn't fire as many as are being claimed or there's some weight to this Ukie claim.

Definitely a big part of Vlad’s appeal to right wingers in the United States.
Both of them want a society where the gays are forced back into the closet and underground. And imprisoned or outright killed if they’re outed/caught.

Yeah. I had always assumed/feared they were badly infiltrated by the FSB from the get go. Some people were fired, so there were concerns.
So far the allies have been fairly reliable, it does seem the Pentagon blabs once in a while when they want to use the media.

This is kind of an important point re: Russia and probably gives us a bit of insight as to the timing of their Ukrainian adventure. I posted a video months ago here showing the Russian demographic situation basically saying that Russia had to do something like this "now" (within the next ~5 years) or never just because of too many fighting aged men aging out of military usefulness and not being replaced. But add this to the equation and you see the other side of Russias strategy pretty clearly. They thought that their energy exports would be useful as a shield from Euro/American reprecussions, but they would be acutely aware of all that LNG production coming online over the next 3 years. Every project that comes online and adds to world LNG production makes their blackmail less and less effective.
