Sounds like the Ukies counterattacked in Bakhmut area and retook 1.3 KM to the south of the town, taking the pressure off of that main road they use for resupply.

yeah and if they can continue to gain ground here, there's a risk that they encircle some Russians too as they've been attacking what amounts to the southern/western flank of the Bakhmut area.

I read something saying they had wiped out/captured all of two different Russian brigades in the operation.

and everything I've read about the Russkies situation suggests it is currently quite grim in terms of available forces and munitions.
