When you are fighting an opponent with a vastly larger population than yours, no victory is going to be quick. You have to bleed a shitload of Russkie conscripts to death before you reach a critical mass, and that takes time.

A Ukrainian soldier might well say "Look, I'm killing these Russian pigs as fast as I can but I've only got two hands and so many bullets. Patience!"
 
Not sure that Wagner co opting the state and Piro coming to power is good for anybody. This isn’t the proletariat pushing back against the war in Ukraine. This is a guy who is probably going to double down on the war.
 
i've heard some people say that, and certainly this situation is extremely unpredictable and Wagner/Prigozhin are not "good guys". But he is also saying that the Russian government has been lying to the people, and that the war was started under false pretenses. I just don't see why he would want to go back and double down on the Ukraine War since he knows it's all bullshit.

There are also many reasons to think this was an organized coup with his friends high up in the Russian gov't, and not just Prigozhin going Full Rambo.
