OT: World Politics

not sure if it was mentioned and it's not a huge surprise but it is fucking funny.....Iran's ambassador to Lebanon happened to have a Hezbollah Pager for some reason and it blew up.
don't think it's been confirmed that the ambassador himself had one, but he was definitely injured by one (eg. he could have been meeting with someone who had one).

still just as funny though

That's not the kind of thing Iran is ever going to admit. Although it's very, very likely.

I mean, we're seeing videos posted online of the pagers exploding in public spaces and people very close to owner of the pager leaving unharmed aside from having to clean the shit out of their pants when they get home. I don't think just being in the room with someone from hezzy was going to injure him when the pager esssploded.

yah this is pretty fair

The impact of this Op is crazy when you wrap your head around it.

....so they get rid of cellphones after the other assassination uses the cellphone to track the target. Do you do pagers again? You've already accepted a massive, massive downgrade in communications ability within your organization for fear of your cellphone being traced. 2800 motherfuckers aren't going to trust pagers again, or at minimum you're going to have to take apart 2800 (well, 2791...) pagers to ensure they're not bombs. Every time you add a new piece of hardware to your communications network, it's gotta be inspected. They're going to be terrified of anything anyone gives them for years.
