OT: World Politics

There's a "giant" malamute sub breed that can hit 180-200. They're usually in the 90-120 pound range though, we had another one after Bandit that ran 135 pounds for most of her life, which is big big for a female. They're tough as nails as a breed.

Jeebus. Your Good Boy was a best boy apparently. Yeah man, they're the best. I'm planning on a couple of Doberman's when I get situated in Mexico.

I grew up in Tandridge in the 80's, half of the douchebags in the neighbourhood had a pitbull back then. Had one that was wandering off leash take a run at me out front of the townhouse I lived in and I tripped trying to run away from it. Bandit was rag dolling it before I hit the ground.

Damn there is a pitbull in the video.

Can confirm, that's Tandridge. I grew up in the 700's across from the school. They're on the backside of the building, 900's-1000's mostly.
Where in Mexico do you want to settle? I have been to Huatulco a few times, but its too hot in the summer.

Vallarta area, wife is from Guadalajara so it's close enough to her family to tick that box on top of being a good beach/tourist city. Summers are hot, but we'll travel for most of the worst of it. A lot of good travel spots have great weather from June-September.

Did you hit up Oaxaca while you were there?

No, but with the new road connecting Huatulco and Oaxaca, it's a viable side trip now.

We've put off all travel to Mexico until after we move or else I'd look to go next year. Mexico has a really solid airport network for domestic travel. Fast and cheap, may as well take advantage when we're down there full time. But Oaxaca is top 3-4 on my list of places I haven't been yet in Mexico that I want to go. Monterrey, Oaxaca, Puebla, Queretaro

They probably were
they did a really terrible job, if so.

and I don't think they were, directly. the assumption, far as I can tell, was always if there was a ceasefire in Gaza, then Hezbollah would just stop firing.

which on its own kinda accepts Hezbollah's intervention as somehow legitimate, which I obviously disagree with

An...enthusiastic estimate of Russian shell production puts them at 3 million a year, or 250K a month.

A conservative estimate of what detonated at Toropets is 750,000 shells, so 3 months worth of production. Russia has been pretty damn close to being a farm to table operation when it comes to a lot of equipment/ammo types for the last 6+ months now, and they're down to firing about 10K shells a day (down from 50-60K during the Bakhmut days) because of the supply limitation. So that very likely represented everything they expected to fire across the entire front from ~mid October to the end of the year.
