OT: WWE/MMA/Boxing Thread

Didn't watch last night but this pic caught my eye. Soul leaving body looking kick right there.

Tyron Woodley never ceases to disappoint.

Jake Paul was not good. Not at all. But Tyron just isn't able to let his hands go. What a waste.

Tyron hasn't let his hands go in 4 years. With that said, I still expected him to put Jake to sleep with relative ease. He should have as well. Paul was there to be hit, started to gas in the third round and was being chased for most of the fight. That Tyron lost this is a testament to how bad a striker he's become after losing that quick twitch explosiveness from earlier in his career.

I can't wait to see the shade of red Dana turns at the next presser, when he's asked a half dozen questions about this.

Me too. Sigh.

And the post-fight nonsense is laughable. Who the fuck would ever want to watch a rematch of that?

Masvidal is the fight for this guy now. Masvidal will fight anyone for the right bag, has a big enough following, isn't considered to be in the twilight of his career, etc. A Diaz wouldn't be the worst pick for him either. Both have a reputation as great MMA boxers.

Yeah, Woodley is embarrassed (and should be) so is begging for a rematch. Jake Paul understands how to promote himself though and going backwards is the best way to derail this train he's on. Can't sell moving backwards, gotta sell the idea that the next guy is better/younger/more dangerous.

Unfortunately, it'll never happen because Dana will never allow it to.

You know what could be a fun fight, and might realistically happen?

Jake Paul - Mike Perry

Mike Perry is probably one loss away from being cut. He's a blood and guts neanderthal.

Jake got his first taste of what is was like to get tagged in the 4th. He didnt like it so I suspect he will continue to look for opponents with minimal striking power to avoid getting put on his ass

If he wants to keep this circus going he will avoid anyone who can KO him

Only reason why anybody watches is the hope he gets his head taken off.

I agree though, he’ll never fight a real boxer.

I'm assuming that getting hit by a real fighter was enough for him to look at his bank account and just "nah bruh" the idea of getting punched in the head anymore.

Do you blame him?

And I don't think he really "retired", more like he's going to take a long time off, tease a return a bunch of times, before doing a Maywhether-esque unretirement against another older, not that good fighter and get another massive payday.

There probably aren't many kickboxing fans here, but this afternoon's Glory event was... My God.

I don't think I've ever seen such a holy fucking shit moment.

did someone die or something?
Nah, but the Badr Hari fight was... Pretty amazing.

Badr Hari was fucking this dude up. It was a one-sided beating. The guy got knocked down 3 times, all from body shots and he was visibly in pain. Badr Hari was moving in for the kill (Glory has a 4 knockdown rule) and then...

It was one of the rare times I had the exact same reaction as the commentators.
