OT: WWE/MMA/Boxing Thread

Aj McKee shouldn't be stunned. He needs to re-watch the fight, with his dumb fucking father saying before the 5th that he won every single round.

The rightful fighter won. I had AJ McKee winning rounds 1 & 5, and round 1 was very debatable.

McKee did not have a great fight. He had the range on Pitbull, but seemed worried about getting countered more than he was trying to get some offense off on Pitbull.

I don't know man, I feel like McKee was the more active fighter and had the takedowns as well. It was a close fight, but I had McKee winning.

Haha - this is just awesome.

maybe this is the start of getting rid of state by state crap and can become national

0% chance. The combat sports events bring in money to the states they go in and not to the federal level, there's no chance the money made mostly in Nevada/California/Texas/Florida is going to be distributed across the country.

If Oliveira had good management, he should be getting ready to fight tonight while his management team finds a good lawyer or two. Arizona's fuckup cost his a loooot of money and a lot of bad press.

not the money - one set of rules/policies etc…it will be on the ufc to force this and there needs to be reasons for them to spend the resources to do so like they did to legalize the sport in each state

They already tried this when they wanted to change the rule on how to define a downed fighter. Some states have adopted it, some haven't. That's why when open the UFC PPV broadcasts, they mention whether they're on the old or new rules for a grounded opponent.

The only way the UFC could "fix" this is to go the opposite direction: No regulation, similar to when they have events in Europe. A lot of European countries don't have sanctioning bodies, so the UFC self-regulates.
