OT: WWE/MMA/Boxing Thread

The PFL card with Ngannou's return to MMA has started.

A very good card worth your time. Much better than that piece of shit Apex card the UFC is putting on tonight.

And still the lineal heavyweight champion of the world.

And still the most terrifying man on earth.

Francis motherfucking Ngannou.

That is one terrible stoppage....dude was out and the ref didn't recognize it. Dude ate 3 lifetime's worth of heavy Francis bombs before it was finally stopped.

Mirgliotta's a strange one. He's usually fine, but sometimes he just has those brain-dead moments that make you wonder if he's fully conscious of what he's doing.

Anyone know a good site to watch ufc after the fights are over? Time zone doesn’t work for me in Asia - hoping to find a sight that will show afterwards.

And hoping max can pull it off :)

Torrents are your best bet.

Watched two great classic fights over the weekend that I’d previously never seen before….

Evander Holyfield vs Bert Cooper….happened between his fight with Foreman, and Larry Holmes.)

Muhammad Ali vs Oscar Bonavena was Ali’s second fight back after his exile, and a tune up for his first meeting with Frazier.

Both really entertaining action packed fights where you get to see Holyfield & Ali do their thing against opponents who were more than game to fire some bombs.

I love Tom Aspinal, think he’s a hell of a fighter….but man is it wild how much the mma community wants to diminish anything that isn’t fighting him, as if he’s already accomplished the kinds of things either Stipe or Pereira have.

Sure it’s a great fight, makes lots of sense, would love to see it…..but I don’t buy for a second Jones fighting Stipe or Pereira aren’t every bit as worthy, as legacy defining fights.

Stipe would be the most significant win of Aspinals career if he was to beat him, and yet people act like it’s a fraud that Jones is fighting him. I dunno, just strikes me as goofy.

Hype trains are hype trains. I remember like 20 years ago when Cyril Gane was the next thing in the heavyweight division, was going to whip Francis and reign for years, etc. lol, motherfucking about that.....

It's the Dana way. His business model depends on him building up chumps into hype trains and making as much money off of the hype while they're still making 35/35 or some shit. Not saying Aspinall is a chump....but we honestly don't know if he is. He's beaten the corpse of Arlovski and heavyweight gatekeeper Blades at this point.
