of course, JetFan on twitter is harassing us saying they are enjoying how we were played etc, yet as I told one dummy, he wanted to leave that shithole town so how is it worse for us?

Were one of the best teams last year everywhere but in net. Fix that and they are contenders.

PLD doesn't address their goaltending. It's like how the Leafs try to solve every problem by adding forwards when they need defenseman or adding d men when they need goalies. They always add where they don't need to add, neglect where they do need to add and then wonder why they went to shit in the playoffs.
The best part of the Kings last year was their offense/forwards.

Habs were prob willing to go 8.5M, wanted to pitch PLD about financial tax breaks/endorsement opps of playing in MTL, but never got the chance.
All the Habs wanted to offer Jets were futures. Even shipping futures to acquire players Winnipeg desired was difficult because a lot of NHL players have Winnipeg on their no trade list (including our very own Josh Anderson)
My own vibe is that Brisson put on a master class in long term planning. He let the media know a year ago that PLD only wanted to play with the Habs, thereby creating a floor price when his own client decided to open up the bidding

Shrewd move by Chevaldayof to not allow any teams to speak with PLD prior to agreeing to a deal - as that article also states, Habs were hoping PLD would limit the population of teams he’d accept a trade to… for only Habs
If we draft Michkov or Carlsson tomorrow no one in Habland will give a flying f about PLD anymore.
