What forwards have we lost since being one of the top teams in the East last season?

We had a hard time finding them last year as well and need a few to work out , including Smith-Pelley and Kassian(?). I count Mitchell and Flynn along with Semin and Fleischmann among the newcomers given their late arrivals last year. Then again with Price, Subban,Pacioretty and adding Petry over the year, we may do as well or better I hope.There is some star power.

Just looking for something positive to end on after picking them out of the playoffs. They are three gems I suppose. My point, like yours I think,is the same. Not much else.

You could well be right, with parity. Of course I'm looking for possible surprises without going too far off the board. Defence is surely the big question in Pittsburgh, but I can't believe we have seen the last of that bunch yet as a true contender. I expect big things from Kessell.

I like how the Wings keep turning out new guys though perhaps no big star in waiting and they could be a sleeper as well. Your Tampa Bay pick may be the safest one from the East I agree, but rarely do teams return to the finals right away.Things have to go your way for two straight years.

Pittsburg vs Detroit for 2 straight years was something else.

I'd probably put them top 1, top 5, and top 10 respectively, but they're all 3 stars. After that, yeah, we don't have any stars, but arguably that's one of the best top-3 groups in the league. Toews/Kane/Keith is likely ahead of us, as would Crosby/Malkin/Kessel, but not sure if I'd take anyone else's top 3 ahead of ours (Lundqvist/McD/Nash would be close too)

I'd probably put them top 1, top 5, and top 10 respectively, but they're all 3 stars. After that, yeah, we don't have any stars, but arguably that's one of the best top-3 groups in the league. Toews/Kane/Keith is likely ahead of us, as would Crosby/Malkin/Kessel, but not sure if I'd take anyone else's top 3 ahead of ours (Lundqvist/McD/Nash would be close too)

Green,Richards. Some young guys getting better and a coach who has brought them along (Tatar, Jurco, maybe the Finn)...great farm system . Questions about Datysuk/Zetterberg's ability to be top guys now though.
