yup.I know I'm getting old but I swear we used to complain we had to give up assets for 3rd and 4th liners because our own weren't good enough, yet some want to so that again
I have no issue giving up thirds and fourths for a depth piece that contributes with limited term at the deadline if your contendingI know I'm getting old but I swear we used to complain we had to give up assets for 3rd and 4th liners because our own weren't good enough, yet some want to so that again
No, easy second and I would move himSo you think Evan’s will only fetch a 3rd or 4th at the deadline?
I’d rather give him term than money. I’m fine with 5 or 6 years at a relatively low cap hit.I would sign Jake at the right deal. Bird in the hand . He has proven his worth over the years, he is home grown (isn't that the point)), I would go 3 maybeeeeeeee 4 years which would put him at 31 to 32 years old (he will be 29 for next season) at the end of the contract. If the dollar amount is right I don't see the issue..
I think he’d agree to 6 years at $2.75 or $3 million.Evans is not going to sign for 2M, let’s be serious here
I don’t see him getting one of those. At $2.5m you can move him any time. I think 3 or 4 years is perfect for both sides though because should he continue to improve he can get a retirement contract at 31-32.
And let Savard and Dvorak walk - I’d be surprised if any playoff team offers a pick higher than round 3 for eitherI expect we will resign Evans and Armia.
I will never complain about him , you can find those players elsewhere. It’ll be hilarious when Geeman is complaining in a year or two that we need a Jake Evans type center who can kill penalties and chip in offensively.
