You know they are going to lose the lottery and get the 3rd overall pick. Who will join Galchenyuk and Kotkaniemi on this exclusive list?
That’s okay. I just wanted a top 3 pick. Any of those 3 forwards are fine.

Making the assumption Wright / Cooley go 1-2
That’s fine too. Even at 3, we can get one of Nemec or Cooley, so either a top 2 center or top pairing D. Thats why finishing last overall was important.
I think it’s now just about 18, not 25.

That's the million dollar question. Truth is, picking players like him in the top of the draft would scare the shit out of me. I think I would take him if we were drafting third overall, but I say it with no conviction.
I don't think Savoie can be an impact player in the league as a PP specialist. He'd be a great pick at 15, not so great at 5.
And therein is the beauty of a top 3 pick. You can get Cooley or Nemec instead, much safer picks.
