Tech Thread

Remember The Line? The Saudi project to build this in the desert?

Was supposed to be 170km long. Has been scaled back to just over 2km long. It will be cancelled eventually, along with the other Neom projects.

speaking of AI bubble, NVDA got absolutely smoked yesterday — went down 85 bucks — a 10% haircut for a $2Trillion dollar operation.

I bot puts in the am and cashed out nicely but too early as it just kept dropping like a stone

With that said, TSLA is still valued at 1.5 Toyota's

2023 cars sold:

Toyota: 11.2 million
Tesla: 1.8 million

There's still a long, long way for Tesla to fall.

I love when he starts getting into particulars there. It's all futurist techno mumbo jumbo that doesn't actually mean anything. What in the fuck does "solve neural nets and cameras to a degree of capability that is on par with and/or really exceeds humans" actually fucking mean?

If you think about what he's saying for a moment and then take it at face value, he's saying that self driving tech is decades away from being available (because that's how far those technologies are from competing with human biology), and he's right. But that obviously doesn't line up with his time frame predictions of "later this year/early next year".

Tesla is a grift.
