GEICO is Terminating Insurance Coverage of Tesla Cybertrucks, Says “This Type of Vehicle Doesn't Meet Our Underwriting Guidelines”
GEICO, the second-largest vehicle insurance underwriter in the US, has decided it will no longer cover Tesla Cybertrucks. The company is terminating current Cybertruck policies and says the truck “doesn’t meet our underwriting guidelines.”

Because Elon doesn't remember what life was like as a real person and thought that a coupe was the ideal vehicle type for a taxi.
What bullshit is he peddling this time?
- "Full Self Driving" by 2026 (that's uhhh...15 months away). He has been saying "next year" since like 2016 now. Also has admitted that his company is probably worthless if they fail to develop it.
- FSD will be "10x safer than a human driver"
- 30K USD (the current cheapest Tesla is over 40K)
- 1/5th the 'real, unsubsidized' cost per person mile of a standard bus (of all the things that doesn exist and will never exist, this is up there)
- Inductive charging! If you use wireless charging on your cellphone regularly you'll immediately realize how bad of an idea scaling that up to fucking car sized that idea is.
- He's going to "over spec" the computing power of the car so that Tesla can sell the computing power while the vehicle isn't in use
- A 20 person, autonomous electric bus called Optimus that looks exactly what you think a bus designed by Elon would look like

All this is hilarious, but for some reason I’m really struck by the bus where 60-75% of the passengers are crammed into a metal box that has no windows for them to look out of.
But hey, who cares about the experience of the peons inside the bus? The important thing is that it looks wicked cool to Elon when he’s chauffeured past one.

I can't get past the 2 seater coupe taxi cab concept because Elon can't fathom traveling with more than 1 human at a time. Parents can't bring their child, a parent can't take both children at once, etc.
His views on normal life, family, the future, etc etc are just so fucking broken.

It also demonstrates that, if there are even any halfway normal people around Elon anymore, none of them probably even dared to bring up any of those points, since he has no tolerance for anyone that isn’t a suck-up “yes man” who’s primary goal in life is to make him feel smart & funny.
