Don’t get me wrong. The man wears clown suits that are almost as bad as Don Cherry’s.

But they are at least fitted in such a way to do a good job of hiding his girth.
 
There was a guy on CP24 can't remember his name, George something(Did wentertainment) that looks relatively thin on tv but I saw him in person and my god what a rack

Some of these fellas are built to be motorboated and you'd never know it unless you get a live action look at the jiggle.

A thought I had about the public vs team stats. As seen above all of the public xG models are based on shot location.

however, we know the Leafs are clients of Steve Valiquete. And we know Valiquettes xG model measures not only shot location but a list of additional variables, e.g puck movement before the shot, crossing royal road, goalie screensetc.

what we get to see if very basic.

Yeah, xG is a good guide post, but only a guide post, for the reasons you just stated.

No. Overdrive is funny but they're a bunch of morons when it comes to hockey.

I listened to five minutes when MJ was on a couple days ago was firing off some basic analytics with Hayes and prefaced it with "I know you're not about the numbers but..." And Hayes was like "okay okay let's move on." They're all very dismissive of that type of shit.
 
Clifford was a nerd god at one point. Kind of a Dubas addition if he still is. Brings the sandpaper and the analytics.
