Andi is a moron. I'm all for getting more females in broadcasting, but they always pick the wrong ones. Shilton is terrible as well.
The best women broadcasters have crew cuts and wear lumberjack shirts. They won't get hired I guess.

Shilton isn't the greatest hockey mind but she's not paid to be an analyst. She's fine in her role.

That's the thing. The average fan thinks that. Either she's pandering to them or is one of them.
The average fan is unaware of the vast changes in the NHL. They want grinders and grit and would have no problem vastly overpaying for that to guys that play 7 minutes a night.

I kind of feel bad for Andi. She grinded a great career in sports journalism out of nothing (she was apparently more or less a walk on volunteer with Rogers cable to get her start) and when she got her break with Leafs TV, she slowly became surrounded by every mouth breather in Toronto sports media. Put yourself in her shoes. She just wants to build her career and gravitates towards the powerful members of the Toronto sports media of the day for knowledge, opinion, etc. She never had a chance to be anything more than a regurgitator of the stupid hot take of the moment.

I've seen her in person. She's real big. But she lost a fuckton of weight last year. Obviously not a pig but I wouldn't classify her in the same way as those TSN and Sportsnet ditzy, good looking sports girl hires.
