I have a theory about the possibilities of signing buff.
When this contract dispute with the jets is finally buried, can buff wait till the last couple of week to sign with the leafs.

After the signing, can the leafs put him onto the marlie roster without the cap hit counting against the leafs cap hit?

And then call buff up for the playoffs after the season has ended, without influencing their cap hit?

What do you all think of buff as a player.
