The 2019-2020 MotherFucking Season Thread

Missed the game due to work but caught the guys on the radio saying Andersen was the first star of the night and no way we get two points without him?

Rinse and repeat from any time we win a hockey game. When we lose it's that Freddy can't win with these bums. But here we are in February, with a pretty average shots against profile as a team, while Freddy rocks a .906%

The Lightning spent a lot of time in the Leafs zone after they went up 4-2, but couldn't really get to the middle. Lots of looking dangerous with no danger.

bottom line, Freddy the MVP put up another below .900 start for us vs Tampa...3 of the 4 games before that, same thing.

all of the stars. all of them. this is an elite goaltender we'd have no chance without.

That would be comforting if the Leafs didn’t stink right now lol.

well, there's bad and then there's bad.

Since the Break:

TOR: 8-6-1, 93pt pace
FLA: 5-8-1, 64pt pace

Last 10:

TOR: 5-4-1, 90pt pace
FLA: 4-6-0, 66pt pace

It really does underline how bad most fans and bobbleheads are at analyzing the game. They honestly can't tell the difference between .880 and .920 with their expert eye test.

How fucking useful is someone's eye test if they can't tell league bottom goaltending from elite goaltending?

Be nice if we let Campbell get a few of those games.

Since Campbell trade:

Freddy: 6G .877%
Campbell: 4G .919%
Hutch: 1G .882%

It would be really nice if we just stopped treating Freddy like a bonafide #1 until he plays like it, and start riding the hot hand. Nothing will tank our season faster than bad goaltending.

I will say that Freddy has started to look better on the eye test the last bit.

He hasn't looked as scrambly and shit, yeah. He's finding himself on his stomache a lot less when the puck is behind him. He still "looks" lazy in the crease to me. No crispness to his movements, everything at 3/4 speed, tracking the puck pretty poor, handling the puck an adventure.

i prefer the slowness, tbh. makes me feel more comfortable, and i think it makes the team feel more confident, too.

hopefully it starts turning into results asap.

somebody remind me what happened on their 2nd goal again? I remember the other two but i'm blanking on the 2nd.

oh wait. the wrister tipped and then off a leg and in.
